It is observed that demand for Turkish wire rod exports in the international markets has revived over the past week. According to market sources, Turkish wire rod producers are receiving demand particularly from the European Union (EU), South America and the Far East. Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkey has concluded sales to the EU countries for a total of 272,000 mt of wire rod since July 19, while only 24 percent of the quota - to end in February 2019 - initiated by the European Commission is filled for now.

On the other hand, Turkish wire rod producers have kept their export prices stable week on week at $550-560/mt FOB due to the sales pressure resulting from the weakness of domestic demand.
