Current situation in local Egyptian rebar market

SteelOrbis has been informed that Egyptian producer EZZ Steel’s domestic rebar offers are currently at EGP 11,890/mt ($716/mt) ex-works, while Egyptian Steel’s domestic rebar offers are at EGP 11,900/mt ($716/mt) ex-works, both including 14 percent VAT.

On the other hand, Egyptian mill Beshay Steel’s rebar offers to its domestic market are at EGP 11,650/mt ($701/mt) ex-works, with domestic rebar offers from Garhy, Ashry and Suez Steel standing at EGP 11,500/mt ($692/mt), 11,400/mt ($686/mt) and EGP 11,700/mt ($704/mt), respectively, all ex-works and including 14 percent VAT.
