CSN raises domestic Brazilian rebar prices for September

A media report by Valor said CSN increased rebar prices in September by 10.25 percent. According to Valor, Gerdau has also indicated it could sell domestic rebar at higher prices, despite not effectively announcing a price increase.

As of Aug. 31, domestic Brazilian rebar prices at the distributor level were at BRL 4,676/mt (1,152/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, referring to the CA-50 grade, 10 mm thickness product.
