During the past week, domestic billet demand in Turkey has failed to accelerate and is still at low levels. On the other hand, the rises recorded in import scrap quotations in Turkey have been reflected in domestic billet offers, causing them to increase by an average of $5/mt week on week to $525-535/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, buyers in the local Turkish billet market are concluding purchases only in line with their needs.
