Brazilian producers are negotiating wire rod of the mesh grade for export at $620/mt, FOB conditions, a reference price now stable for three weeks, a local source told SteelOrbis.

According to the source, the shortage of material for export continues as domestic producers are focused on the more rewarding prices within the domestic wire rod market.

The average FOB export price for the mesh grade product in June was $622/mt, while for the drawing grade product the average price was $667/mt, both FOB conditions.
