Brazilian rebar exports increase in October

Brazilian producers exported 47,800 mt of rebar in October, 31 percent more than in September, at an average FOB price increased by 2 percent to $489/mt.

ArcelorMittal exported 26,400 mt at $494/mt and Gerdau exported 20,100 mt at $480/mt, while Votorantim exported 1,200 mt at $527/mt, all FOB conditions.

The main destinations were Latin America (21,700 mt) and the US (26,100 mt).

A local exporter told SteelOrbis that Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar export offers at $590/mt, FOB conditions.
