The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is currently $470/mt, against $455/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In August, Brazil exported 25,800 mt of rebar, in average at $506/mt, FOB conditions and different quality grades.
Import volumes of the product during the month were near zero, and the last import offer for rebar from China was priced at $533/mt, CFR conditions to a port in the south or southeast coast of the country, with reference to the QC/HRB400 grade, stable over the last four weeks.
In the domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 3,986/mt ($714/mt), against BRL 3,876/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s Southeast and South regions. For the North and Northeastern regions, prices are reportedly BRL 65/mt higher, under the same conditions.
