Brazilian rebar export offers to South American countries remain stable

The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is $800/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries, stable over the last two weeks.

In December, Brazil exported 33,400 mt of rebar, in average at $732/mt, and imported 1,900 mt at $806/mt, both FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 5,800/mt ($1,056/mt), against BRL 5,750/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
