Brazilian rebar export offers increase

Brazilian export rebar offers are currently at $660/mt, against $640/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.

In January, Brazil exported 37,400 mt of rebar, almost entirely destined to South American countries.

In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 5,322/mt ($975/mt), against BRL 4,919/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s Southeast and South regions. For the North and Northeastern regions, prices are reportedly BRL 80/mt higher, under the same conditions.
