Billet and rebar prices soften in Taiwan - week 21

SteelOrbis has been informed that in the local Taiwanese steel market the prices of commercial grade billet of 120 mm x 12 m have moved down by NTD 300-400/mt ($10-13/mt) as compared to last week and are now being quoted at NTD 15,100-15,300/mt ($505-512/mt) ex-works, for mid-June shipments.
 
In the meantime, rebar prices in the Taiwanese domestic market, which have indicated a decrease of NTD 300-400/mt ($10-13/mt) this week, are currently at the following levels:

SD 420 quench	NTD 16,600-16,800/mt ($555-562/mt)

The above prices include five percent VAT, are ex-warehouse and are also for mid-June shipments.
