Domestic rebar and wire rod demand in Algeria remains at satisfactory levels, and so local producers have decided to keep their offers stable for now.

Both Tosyali Algerie and Algerian Qatari Steel are offering rebar in the local market at $460/mt (DZD 64,750/mt) ex-works, stable in the local currency over the past few weeks. In the wire rod segment, Tosyali Algerie is in the market with $480/mt (DZD 73,750/mt) ex-works offers, while AQS is trying to sell higher, at $492/mt (DZD 75,500/mt) ex-works. All products are available for July-August production.

Prices on US dollar basis exclude nine percent and 19 percent VAT for rebar and wire rod, respectively.
