Pricing and order activity for US import 0.012”x40.875” G30 HDG coil from the UAE, South Africa and Vietnam continue to remain stable, but buyers say they’re still having a hard time accepting that prices have gone up by more than 25 percent since the beginning of the year.
Traders say that the orders are still coming; in the absence of any belief that the Trump administration will allow for tariff exemptions for grades of steel that aren’t available in the US, US import pricing, despite being significantly higher than prices in Europe and Southeast Asia, is expected to remain high.
