Following Monday’s announcement by Nucor Sheet Mill Group, US Steel today announced they too would be raising price on HRC, CRC and HDG coil by $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt), effective immediately.
Prior to this week’s announcements, spot market prices were heard in the following ranges:
HRC: $34-$35cwt. ($750-$772/mt or $680-$700/nt)
CRC: $39-$41 cwt. ($860-$904/mt or $780-$820/nt)
HDG : $39-$41 cwt. ($860-$904/mt or $780-$820/nt)
