US import HRC offer price from Vietnam still steady, week-over-week

SteelOrbis has learned that US traders are still offering imported hot rolled coil (HRC) from Vietnam at approximately $75 cwt. ($1,653/mt or $1,500/nt), or less, DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports, reflecting no change in the past two weeks report a week ago. In contrast, US HRC prices are being heard in a range of "at least" $92-$95 cwt. ($2,028-$2,094/mt or $1,840-$1,900/nt), FOB mill, which makes offshore offers increasingly attractive.
