Pricing for US import HDG coil have stabilized since our last report a week ago, but questions as to how long current price points will hold are circulating through the market.
Some sources close to SteelOrbis cite rumors that the Trump administration may move forward with a global quota system, as opposed to a 25 percent tariff on steel imports. Should this happen, it’s believed that import prices could tick downward to a level that’s at or below current Brazilian offer prices.
