US import HDG prices level after last week’s upward adjustment

Last week, SteelOrbis reported that prices for US import HDG and Galvalume coil had shifted upward. This week, prices have leveled off, and today’s price points are unchanged week-over-week.

The overall market situation is similar to that which was reported seven days ago; upward shifts in domestic pricing has US-based buyers are reluctant to book offshore, unless they need specialty grades that are not readily available in the US.

Order placement from Mexican mills, however, remains stable due to lead times that are “just about on par” with those from domestic producers.
