Trader sources have indicated that last week’s price increase announcement from US domestic flat rolled steel mills is likely to have a positive impact on US import HDG bookings.
Prices in the US are expected to endure an uptrend in the upcoming weeks, sources note, adding that while prices are not expected to move during the current week, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s believed the increase will be “partially if not fully accepted” before the end of the year.
