US domestic plate prices are now being heard close to the level of $34 cwt. ($750/mt or $680/nt) ex-mill, with few if any transactions taking place at last week’s high end of the range, $35 cwt. ($772/mt or $700/nt) ex-mill.

However, sources tell SteelOrbis that there are deals apparent in the market for around $33 cwt. ($728/mt or $660/nt) ex-mill. Sources add that while pricing is low, inquiry activity is starting to increase.
