SteelOrbis has learned that spot market prices for US domestic plate are still being heard in the range of $34-$35 cwt. ($750-$772/mt $680-$700/nt), ex-mill, unchanged in the past week. Additionally, the CRU price index rose by 12 today, and sources say US flats mills could use the trend uptick to push plate prices higher. However, whether such a move would be successful is not yet clear.
