Spot market prices for US domestic HDG and Galvalume coil are “mostly steady” since our last report a week ago, but sources close to SteelOrbis have said that they’ve already started to get offers at price points that are above the average range.
“Things haven’t moved too much in the past week but I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes by Friday,” a source said. “We’re dealing with all of the same problems that have been helping keep prices firm: lagging production, improved demand, and a lack of spot [market] tons.”
