During the past week, buyers in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market have accepted the previous week’s price increases and demand has improved further. As a result of livelier demand and due to the ongoing rises seen in prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) in the domestic market, Turkish coated coal producers have continued to increase their prices.

Having increased by $15/mt week on week, Turkish domestic PPGI prices are currently at $1,050-1,080/mt for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI, at $890-915/mt for RAL 9002 0.5 mm PPGI and at $780-820/mt for RAL 9002 1 mm PPGI. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI offers to the export markets have increased by $15/mt week on week to $890-900/mt FOB.
