Turkish coated steel prices decrease

Over the past week, demand in the Turkish coated steel market has remained very low and prices have decreased during negotiations. Buyers have continued to buy only for their immediate needs and have sought to put pressure on prices. Market sources state that they do not expect any demand recovery in the short term due to the negative outlook for the Turkish economy, low demand from end-user markets and the risk of recession in the EU.

Turkish mills’ offer prices for coated products for their domestic and export markets, for November production, are presented in the following table.
