According to market sources, cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices have decreased by €5/mt in the Italian domestic market in the past two weeks, with CRC prices now at €555-565/mt ($627-638/mt) and HDG prices are at €560-570/mt ($633-644/mt), all ex-works. Meanwhile, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices have weakened further by €5/mt compared to what was reported on March 13 and are now at around €475-485/mt ($537-548/mt) ex-works. Flat steel prices are under pressure in the Italian domestic market, as demand is still low, while lead times are currently short.
