SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that local prices in the Spanish flat steel market, where demand is at moderate levels, have remained stable as compared to three weeks ago, while import offers to Spain have also trended sideways over the same period.
Accordingly, hot rolled coil (HRC) domestic prices in Spain are still standing at €450-470/mt ($617-644/mt), while domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) and local hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices are at €530-540/mt ($726-740/mt). All prices are ex-works and for December production.
On the other hand, import offers from Brazil, India, China and the Middle East to Spain for December rolling can be found at €465-475/mt ($637-651/mt) CIF for HRC, at €535-545/mt ($733-747/mt) CIF for CRC and at €495-505/mt ($678-692/mt) for hot rolled pickled and oiled (HR P&O) coil.
