Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market has remained slack, while prices have decreased by $20/mt week on week. Meanwhile, PPGI exports from Turkey to target markets have increased slightly. Market sources state that domestic PPGI demand in the Turkish market is not expected to recover due to the upcoming Feast of Sacrifice holiday, though the slight increases in export sales is preventing domestic prices from recording sharp declines.

Turkish producers' domestic PPGI prices are now at $1,000-1,030/mt for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI, at $840-860/mt for RAL 9002 0.5 mm PPGI and at $730-770/mt for RAL 9002 1 mm PPGI. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI offers to the export markets have also declined by $20/mt during the given period, to $840-850/mt FOB.
