A market source in Brazil told SteelOrbis that the current reference price for the export of Galvalume is $800/mt, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product, a price stable from two weeks ago.

A low offer of material available for export, as Galvalume producers ArcelorMittal and CSN currently have blast furnaces idled for refurbishment, is increasing domestic prices and fueling imports of the product.

In June, CSN exported 3,300mt of Galvalume to the US at $975/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in April.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in June 13,700mt of the product from China at $719/mt, FOB conditions.
