Price of imported CRC stable in Brazil

The last offer of CRC received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $606/mt, CFR conditions for shipments to a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with the 1008/SPCC grade as reference, stable from two weeks ago.

In September, Brazil imported 8,300 mt of CRC, of which 5,100 mt from Russia at $432/mt, 2,000 mt from South Korea at $721/mt, 800 mt from China at $521/mt and 300 mt from Sweden at $812/mt, all FOB conditions and different quality grades. Small volumes were imported from Taiwan, Germany and Italy.

Meanwhile, Brazil exported in September 7,000 mt of CRC at $499/mt FOB in average, almost entirely shipped by Usiminas and destined to Europe.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is currently offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 3,846/mt ($689/mt), unchanged from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
