The last offer for Brazilian import CRC from China was priced at $880/mt, against $860/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions for shipments to a port in the Northeastern coast of Brazil, with basic commercial grades as reference.

In February, Brazil exported 15,900 mt of CRC, while importing 3,800 mt of the product. The destinations of the exports were Mexico (14,900 mt at $628/mt) and South American countries (1,000 mt at $713/mt). The exporters were Usiminas (15,200 mt), traders (400 mt) and ArcelorMittal (300 mt), all FOB conditions. The main origins of the imports were China (1,900 mt at $616/mt), Sweden (1,400 mt at $837/mt) and South Korea (300 mt at $725/mt), also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is currently offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 5,892/mt ($1,056/mt), against BRL 6,067/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included. The reduction reflects exchange rate variations.

USD = BRL 5.58 (March 16)
