Price of imported CRC increases in Brazil

The last offer of CRC received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $565/mt, against $557/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions for shipments to a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with the SAE 1008/SPCC grade as reference.

In June, Brazil imported 26,500 mt of CRC, of which 23,200 mt from China at $534/mt, FOB conditions, different quality grades. Total imports from Asia reached 25,700 mt, while 800 mt were imported from Sweden at $779/mt FOB.

Meanwhile, Brazil exported in June 1,500 mt of CRC, in average at $597/mt, FOB conditions, almost entirely destined to South America countries.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is currently offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 3,615/mt ($680/mt), against BRL 3,163/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
