The last offer Brazilian importers received for import CRC from China was priced at $600/mt, against $565/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions, for shipment to a port in the south or southeastern coast of Brazil, with the SAE 1008/SPCC grade as reference.

Brazil imported 50,700mt of CRC in March, against 15,600mt in February, according to the ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC.

The primary sources were China (45,700mt at $521/mt), South Korea (4,000mt at $723/mt), Sweden (800mt at $797/mt) and Japan (100mt at $1,200mt).

Meanwhile, Brazil exported in March 1,600mt of CRC, against 25,500mt in February.

Usiminas exported 1,400mt at $700/mt and ArcelorMittal exported 200mt at $734/mt, destined to Colombia (1,000mt), Germany (400mt) and Argentina (200mt), with price deals probably closed in January, all FOB conditions.

The difference in prices for both import and export CRC is ascribed to varying grades and tonnage volume.
