The last offer of CRC to Brazil from China was priced at $760/mt, against $770/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions for shipments to a port in the Northeastern coast of Brazil, with basic commercial grades as reference.

In January, Brazil imported 12,800 mt of CRC, against 3,400 mt in December. South Korea was the main origin in January (6,000 mt at $508/mt), followed by Ukraine (5,900 mt at $576/mt), and Sweden (400 mt at $884/mt), all CFR conditions, while lower volumes were imported from China, Taiwan and Germany.

Meanwhile, Brazil exported 3,300 mt of CRC in January, almost entirely from Usiminas to South American countries, in average at $628/mt, FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is currently offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 5,039/mt ($938/mt), little changed from BRL 5,072/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
