The last offer of CRC received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $605/mt, against $600/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions for shipment to a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with the SAE 1008/SPCC grade as reference.
Brazil imported 29,600 mt of CRC in April, against 50,700 mt in March, according to the ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC. The main origins were Asia (21,300 mt, of which 20,700 mt from China at $582/mt) and Ukraine (7,600 mt at $535/mt), while 700 mt was imported from Sweden at $728/mt, all FOB conditions.
Meanwhile, Brazil exported in April 20,500 mt of CRC, against 1,600 mt in March, having the EU (19,600 mt) and Latin America (900 mt) as destinations. The exporters were Usiminas (19,700 mt at $611/mt) and ArcelorMittal (800 mt at $671/mt), both FOB conditions, different quality grades and price deals probably closed in February.
