Outokumpu announces August surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu has announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for August 2007.

According to the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 3,062 per ton on its 304 series for August 2007 deliveries. The surcharge on the 304 series for July 2007 is Euro 3,326 per ton.

In addition, the alloy surcharge for August on the 316 series will be Euro 5,148 per ton, down Euro 320 from the July surcharge, while the 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 257 per ton, up five euro from the July surcharge.
