Offers for HDG exports increase in Brazil

The reference price for the export from Brazil of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) is now $730/mt, against $700/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference.

In July, Brazil exported 5,500 mt of HDG, while importing 11,800 mt of the product. The last import offer of HDG received from China was priced at $716/mt, against $698/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions for a port in the south or southeastern coast of Brazil, with reference to the Z100/SGCC grade.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers at BRL 4017/mt ($748/mt), roughly stable from BRL 4,022/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
