In the last three weeks, the price of Mexican domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) fell US$64/mt to reach US$ 683/mt ex-mill.

Automotive sector sources believe that the exchange rate can contribute to creating greater opportunities for the industry and this may facilitate the development of more local suppliers.

However, until they realize their goal of increasing the supply of domestic steel content in the aerospace and automotive industries, demand-based price decreased could continue.
