Major European stainless steel mills cut their alloy surcharges for April

Main European stainless steel producers, such as Aperam, Acerinox, Outokumpu and Acciai Terni, have reduced their alloy surcharges for April by €35/mt ($45/mt) as compared to March to approximately €1,275/mt ($1,632/mt) for 304 grade stainless cold rolled coil (CRC) with 2 mm thickness. The mills' stainless CRC alloy surcharges for 316 and 430 grades have declined as well.

These decreases in alloy surcharges are attributed to the decline in nickel prices, while it is though that these price drops will influence ex-Europe stainless steel offers too.
