Local Turkish HRC market moves sideways

During the past week, demand for domestic producers' products in the local Turkish hot rolled coil (HRC) market has remained at low levels, while the producers' domestic HRC prices have remained unchanged. With Ramadan beginning on May 27, buyers are continuing their purchases only in line with their needs and trading activity in the market is slow.
 
On the other hand, although inventory levels in the local HRC spot market have declined, buyers prefer to sit back and monitor the market instead of restocking due to the approach of both Ramadan and the summer season. Meanwhile, traders' HRC prices have also followed a stable trend.
 
The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:
