Over the past week, prices in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) market have remained stable, while demand has remained at low levels. Turkish buyers have continued to exert pressure on prices, but domestic steel mills have not reduced their offers due to their fairly full order books. Market sources state that demand is not expected to revive in the short term as buyers are maintaining a wait-and-see stance ahead of the local elections in Turkey to be held on March 31.
