Local Turkish HDG market continues its declining trend

Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) market has remained slack, while buyers have continued to postpone their bookings and to exert pressure on prices. Amid weak demand and the pressure exerted by buyers on prices, Turkish HDG producers’ prices have decreased by $25/mt week on week. Despite the downward movement of prices, buyers in the local Turkish HDG market are unlikely to restart their bookings before the election is over and demand will likely remain slack in the short term, according to market sources.
