Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish flat steel spot market has remained at low levels as buyers have continued to postpone their orders. Turkey’s military operation in Syria has negatively impacted the local flat steel spot market. Buyers have only bought to met their immediate needs over the past seven days, and they have been in no rush to purchase since their inventory levels are sufficient. Amid the downward pressure exerted by buyers, flat steel spot prices have continued their falling trend.

In the same period, prices have decreased by $20/mt for hot rolled coil (HRC), hot rolled pickled and oiled (HR P&O) and cold rolled coil (CRC) materials.
