Local Turkish CRC market still moves sideways

Over the past week, Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) suppliers have received weak demand from both domestic and export markets, though Turkish CRC producers have kept their prices at the current levels of $600-620/mt ex-works, due to high raw material costs. According to market sources, CRC buyers in Turkey are likely to continue to postpone their bookings due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, while demand for domestic CRC in Turkey is also expected to be negatively impacted by the approach of Ramadan.

In the spot market, prices of domestic CRC sold by local traders have moved sideways week on week and are at the following levels:

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

650-660

660-680

0.7-2 mm CRC
