Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained slack, while Turkish producers have reduced their CRC prices by $10/mt on the upper end week on week to $690-700/mt ex-works. Market sources state that buyers continue to postpone their bookings and prefer to monitor the global market. SteelOrbis has been informed that buyers are exerting downward pressure on domestic CRC prices due to the strong expectations of a fall in global flat steel quotations.

In the spot market, prices of domestic CRC sold by local traders have also decreased by $10/mt week on week.
