During the week ending July 27, the average prices in the Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) market have continued to rise, while transaction activity in the market has been at medium levels. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, following declines in the previous week ferrous metals futures prices in China have rebounded again, exerting a positive impact on the local HDG market, with traders increasing their HDG offer prices. At the same time, however, hot weather conditions have continued to be observed in the country, negatively affecting the HDG market. It is thought that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will move up further in the coming week.
