Local and import offers in Spanish flats steel market

Prices in the Spanish flat steel market, where demand has remained on the weak side, have generally trended downward in the past month, with prices declining by €5/mt ($7/mt).
 
Accordingly, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices are now standing at €445-455/mt ($579-592/mt) ex-works, while domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at €525-535/mt ($683-696/mt) ex-works and local hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices are at €525-535/mt ($683-696/mt) ex-works - all for September production.
 
On the other hand, import offers from Brazil, India, China and the Middle East to Spain for August rolling can be found at €455-460/mt ($592-598/mt) CIF for HRC, €520-530/mt ($676-689/mt) CIF for CRC and €485-490/mt ($631-637/mt) for hot rolled pickled and oiled (HR P&O).
