Over the past week, demand for import flat steel in Turkey has been at quite low levels, while import flat steel offers to Turkey have remained unchanged week on week. Having continued to postpone purchases due to the approaching new year and the downtrend of global flat steel prices, Turkish buyers are expecting import flat offers to decline. This expectation is causing demand to remain weak. Market sources state that import flat steel prices may decrease in the short term.

In the given period, ex-CIS HRC and cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have remained unchanged at $500-530/mt CFR and $590-610/mt CFR, respectively.
