HRC export offers stable in Brazil

The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $1,150/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, stable over the last two weeks.

In June, Brazil exported 27,100 mt of HRC, in average at $747/mt, while importing 25,700 mt of the product, in average at $664/mt, both FOB conditions. Expectations, based on preliminary figures by customs, point to increases in both Brazilian exports and imports volumes of HRC in July.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is offered at BRL 7,109/mt ($1,383/mt), against BRL 6,900/mt two weeks ago, ex-works conditions, no taxes included. The price refers to high and medium sized volumes of the product, when sold directly to large consumers or to distributors.
