How long will US import HDG prices remain stable?

Last week, SteelOrbis reported that pricing for US import 0.012”x40.875” G30 HDG coil in the US domestic market had adjusted downward due to downtrends in Chinese HRC pricing that took place before their long National Day Holiday, which took place between Oct. 1-8.

Yesterday, however, SteelOrbis learned that pricing for Chinese HRC was raised sharply, which will likely have an impact on US import HDG prices. For now, the market remains stable, although it’s expected that prices will undergo a revision before the end of the week.

Current price points for US import HDG and Galvalume coil in the US domestic market are listed below:
