Brazilian producers remain negotiating Galvalume for export at $920/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.
The reference price is stable since early February, the source said, adding that Galvalume exports remain of secondary interest for local producers, which are giving priority to domestic sales. Current domestic prices are currently at BRL 5,150/mt ($1,581/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, with the AZ-150 grade as reference.
In January 2018, the local producer CSN exported 6,200 mt of Galvalume to the US at $962/mt and 1,900 mt at $885/mt to Argentina, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in November 2017.
