Over the past week, demand in the European flat steel market has remained strong. Meanwhile, prices in the market are expected to increase in the short term with the imposition of definitive antidumping duties on imports of hot rolled coil (HRC) from Brazil, Russia, Ukraine and Iran.

Prices in the European flat steel market have so far remained unchanged, week on week. For now, HRC prices in Europe are at €520-560/mt ($608-655/mt), while cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices are at €590-630/mt ($690-737/mt) and €620-670/mt ($724-785/mt), respectively, all ex-works.
