Market sources confirm that hot rolled coil (HRC) demand in the international markets is indicating a recovery, and so the slab market will likely see prices move upward in the coming period.  According to market insiders, ex-CIS slab offers to Asia are standing at $530-540/mt CFR Asian ports. Meanwhile, Russian slab offers can be found at $510-520/mt CFR for Taiwan and at $515-520/mt CFR for Indonesia, both for November shipments.

In the meantime, Ukrainian slab export offers are at $505-510/mt FOB.
